This statue is part of a diorama setting that replicates this iconic battle featured in the movie “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring”, adapted for cinema by Peter Jackson in 2001.
One of the protagonists of the literary work The Lord of the Rings, created by British professor and philologist J. R. R. Tolkien, Aragorn was a forest ranger and notorious warrior who concealed his true identity as the heir of Isildur, King of Gondor, using the nickname Strider. A member of the
so-called Fellowship of the Ring, with the mission to destroy the One Ring and defeat the Dark Lord Sauron, in Minas Moria, he faced the attack of Orcs alongside the other members of the Fellowship of the Ring. Aragorn led the armies of man in the battle against Sauron and was later crowned King Elessar Telcontar, the 26th King of Arnor, and 35th King of Gondor, the first High King of Gondor and Arnor since the short reign of Isildur.
