Directed by Steven Spielberg, “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” from 1982, was the highest-grossing film
in the history of cinema for eleven years. The plot presents a charismatic, small and robust alien
with short legs, long arms and a giant head, that receives the nickname E.T. when he befriends a
ten-years-old boy named Elliott. E.T. was part of an expedition of a group of alien botanists, that
secretly visited earth to collect specimens from a forest in California, but accidentally ends up
being left behind by his colleagues that flee in their spaceship, being exiled on the planet as a
result. Lost, he’s found by Elliot, a boy that finds him hidden in his tool shed. They both create a
great friendship connection, and Elliot starts protecting him in every way possible, to prevent him
from being captured and turned into a test subject and to help him contact his species and return
to his planet.
