“Who is Michael Myers?
Depicting the silent killer from the horror film “Halloween”, written and directed by John Carpenter, Michael Myers appears as a psychopath with striking dark, emotionless eyes that peer through a white mask. A sociopath since the age of 6, when he murdered his older sister, Myers was confined for 15 years in a sanitarium in the fictional suburban town of Haddonfield, Illinois, where his psychiatrist, Dr. Samuel Loomis, described him as pure evil. Myers escapes on the night of Halloween and returns to his home to kill again. He murders three students and attempts to kill Laurie Strode, failing only because Dr. Loomis stops him by shooting him six times. Yet Myers escapes, returning in Halloween II (1981), where the story picks up right where the first movie left off. As Loomis and the police search for Michael throughout the town, he continues to take more victims, his goal being to kill Laurie. There is a reason for this twisted obsession, a motive even Loomis was unaware of. A pop culture icon, Myers and the Halloween franchise are widely regarded as classics of horror and among the most influential horror films of all time.

Exploring the Michael Myers statue:
On top Judith’s grave, his older sister and also his first victim, with a large pumpkin carved with a skull face and a traditional bucket of candy fallen at his feet-references to the original movie poster where he is the antagonist and main character, as well as to the October 31st celebration-the cruel and merciless killer known as The Butcher of Haddonfield holds a knife in his right hand while carrying yet another victim, the corpse of a law enforcement officer, lifted by his jacket through the superhuman strength of his killer’s left hand. Without reason, conscience, or understanding of good or evil, right or wrong, he is one of the most feared serial killers on screen and one of the most celebrated protagonists of contemporary horror.
